Update Friday July 12, 2024 lunch delicious!!! I come often for days weeks then change up. Braised pork with string beans came with steamed rice with tax was 17. I tip 5 bucks because that's how I roll solo LOL. It was delicious I arrived at 7 PM sat at a comfy booth. The string beans were fresh cooked to my liking with some crunch not mashed potato feel lol. The brown sauce was perfect for my taste zero soy sauce needed. Five stars for food, price, service, comfort. I did have to shut the door it was proped opened and freezing inside.

I was surprised that my husband (doesn't necessarily love spicy food) chose Spicy City. We liked their Dandan noodles. Their pork and veggie dumplings were great and the sauteed garlic pea sprouts were perfect. Service was wonderful.

Extremely good Chinese food. Family style and their portion is big. My favorite is the Mapo Tofu... so yummy but I need to adjust the spiciness to mild The service is very fast and friendly. Highly recommended! ...

We had chicken fried rice and hot sour noodle soup. I love the way they packed the noodle soup. Pretty good food overall. Edit: the noodle soup is lip smacking good

If you want some spicy Szechuan food this is the place to be, the food was spicier than some other restaurant and was fresh and hot. The service was better than most of the Asian restaurants out there don't have to wait to order drinks and refills. My favorite dish including boiled fish fillet with hot chili oil, salt and pepper shrimp, lamb with cumin sauce, and most of their cold dishes are awesome too. Definitely will be back for more yummy dishes. They are very busy on togo and dine in orders so you know they gotta be good.

Today, I visited Yun Chuan Yuan, an affordable Sichuan restaurant in Irvine, and I was absolutely amazed! Every dish was so delicious that I can't help but rave about each one. Here's my detailed review! Twice-Cooked Pork: The perfectly balanced fatty and lean pork is stir-fried to perfection, crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, with a rich savory sauce! The green peppers and garlic sprouts are also super flavorful. One bite and I was in heaven! Shredded Pork with Sweet Bean Sauce: The pork strips are tender, and the sauce is rich and flavorful, with the perfect balance of salty and sweet! Wrapped in thin pancakes with scallions and cucumber strips, the layers of texture are amazing, and it's not greasy at all. Absolutely fantastic! Cold Skin Noodles: The noodles are chewy and smooth, with a spicy oil that's fragrant but not overwhelming, and the vinegar is just the right amount of tangy! Paired with cucumber strips and bean sprouts, it's refreshing and appetizing, perfect for summer! Dry-Fried Green Beans: The green beans are slightly crispy on the outside but still tender inside, with a rich, dry aroma! The minced meat and chili peppers add a wonderful fragrance, making it super satisfying with rice! Overall, Yun Chuan Yuan is a highly cost-effective Sichuan restaurant, and every dish kept me coming back for more! Highly recommended for all Sichuan cuisine lovers! #IrvineFood #SichuanCuisine #YunChuanYuan #FoodieAdventures #AffordableEats
